Picture it: 1956, Amalfi Coast. Francesco Mansi reveals his masterpiece to his wife – a stunning hotel with views of all with all of Amalfi that was built with dreams and love. It was the Miramalfi. And so began the charmed existence of one of the most unique family-owned properties in all of Italy.
An Italian by birth, Francesco lived in Mexico for many years where he was a successful entrepreneur. With his fortune made, he returned to his hometown to follow his true dream of creating a majestic hotel for his family and visitors alike. The name, Miramalfi, reflects his time in Mexico speaking Spanish and translates to “Look at Amalfi,” appropriate given the stunning views from the seaside cliff. With venues named after family members – the restaurant Donna Emma La Cucina, named after his wife, and bar named after his son Mario – the hotel is truly a family affair. Run by Francesco’s wife until 2018, Miramalfi is now run by their grandson and his wife with the same care and personalized attention that has been the hallmark of Miramalfi for 67 years.
